PROSTITUTION IN KENYAN CAMPUSES ON THE RISE DUE TO LITTLE HELB MONEY THAT DOES NOT SUSTAIN STUDENTS COMFORTABLY

SHARE

Of late we have been looking at some of the behaviors that are being portrayed by campus students. Our focus was to one of  the biggest university  here in Kenya.A  University that  has a population of more that 60,000 and  almost 80% of the students come from average families and others from very poor families who can hardly  get money that can keep their sons or daughters  comfortable in school.

The money from Higher Education Loan Board(HELB) is very little.Comes twice every academic year and sometimes fails to come on time.Due to high cost of living, the money cannot sustain students for the whole semester  and this forces them to find a side hustle. Some students have sifted to online freelancing where they do assignments to rich US students giving less attention to their studies  leading to poor grades.

Other male’s students have shifted to selling of drugs. Marijuana is the most common drug among students in Campuses. Female students have focused their attention to wealthy men who are driving expensive cars. Just the other day a page that was dubbed campus chicks for rich men came to limelight. This is what is going in our campuses. Prostitution in the name of getting money to sustain the ladies with the cosy city life.We got a chance to talk to a lady by the name Faith who is a student at one of our Universities in Kenya. She is now hooked to a wealthy man here in the city and she is living lavishly, driving a mark x,courtesy of her sweet honey pot. This is what she had to say

”Why live  in abject poverty yet there is something you can offer to rich men and have a comfortable school life.I met this guy. He  is very rich.He owns a law firm.I got hooked to him.Of course he is married and am his side dish.He bought me this car and rented me an apartment in one of the fine estates here in town and wont say where for purposes know to me.Am now happily living ,going to class with my car.He fuels my car every weekend and that its.Good life.”

Now you heard it from a campus mama.Is this acceptable guys.Share your take on this.
