CAMPUS STRIKES READ TO SEE WHO BENEFITS.

SHARE

Campus strikes and demonstrations can be considered as the most disturbing or advantageous ways of life to a student in campus depending on which side you analyze from.

A strike may have both negative and positive impacts.  Based on some research,  it has been determined that most strikes that occur in campuses have the same grievances.  Some of the grievances include:

·       Increase in school fees
·       Poor facilities
·       Corrupt Vice Chancellors or Mismanagement of funds

When the  police intervene.  Use of  teargas and live bullets Is common during strikes. A strike may start as a small cry which later becomes a mass movement with the right supporters.

Campus strikes require a strategy so as to make it more effective.  Proper evidence is required to back up the claims being made by the students.
Basically the point of a strike is to make sure that the grievances are met.  Most strikes may turn out to be rowdy and violent.
Sometimes These kind of strikes also come with their humor because you will come across different personalities during the strike.  These are:

·       The ones that can’t wait to turn up everyday
·       The ones that are less bothered because they don’t attend classes
·       The final year students that want the strike over so they can finish up and graduate
·       The smart ones that sharply get a job because time is money
·       The bookies that still read even during strike
·       The ones that are bombarded with house chores and can’t wait to resume
·       The confused ones that want to resume and also don’t want to resume.
Which one are you?
